Born in 1838, Shirdi Sai Baba was an Indian spiritual master, a saint, siddha, and satguru who taught love, forgiveness, helping others, and devotion to God and guru. Baba had no concern for material things, and saw no distinction between religion or caste. He lived his adult life in Shirdi, a small village in India, where he worked countless miracles.

As described by Ram Dass, “To the unknowing, He seemed a simple beggar, dressed in torn clothes, having no need for any material item. Claiming neither the Hindu nor Muslim religion, nor any religion. He lived in an abandoned Mosque with no roof and every day took his food from a few people, making his rounds with his begging bowl, door to door. What really was happening; He was burning the karmas of everyone who came to Him, in the dhuni (Divine Fire) Baba kept burning at all times. Healing and giving guidance on every level.”

Sai Baba took mahasamadhi on October 15 of 1918, and through supernatural power continues to burn the karmas, enrich the lives and heal the souls of people across the planet. Mahasamadhi, or the “great merging,” takes place when a siddha, someone who has achieved spiritual realization and supernatural ability, sheds the mortal body and becomes one with the Supreme Consciousness.

During Mahasamadhi, a Siddha such as Baba can consciously and intentionally leave the physical body. Since the day Baba took mahasamadhi, his divine power to energetically connect with us and impact our lives and the world continues to grow and intensify. Shirdi Sai Baba is always available to you, and is listening for your voice. When Shirdi Sai Baba took mahasamadhi, he gave to his devotees his eternal promises, the ‘Eleven Assurances.’ Among these Assurances is Baba’s promise to continue his divine and powerful work in the world and in our lives from the tomb.

Baba said: “If you cast your burden on me, I shall bear it. If you seek my advice and help, it shall be given to you at once. Even after I leave my body, I shall come to the aid of my devotees.” Connect with Sai Baba, invite Baba into your life with an open heart, and the miracle energy will begin to flow.
